Echoes of Innocence
In the realm of innocence, where dreams are born,
A time of wonder, in days long since torn,
Childhood’s tender embrace, a wondrous art,
Unfolding memories, etched upon the heart.
Like fireflies dancing in twilight’s glow,
Laughter echoes freely, like birds in the flow,
A tapestry woven with threads of joy,
Where every day held a new toy.
In meadows of green, we’d frolic and play,
With sun-kissed cheeks and spirits astray,
Time seemed to linger, its pace serene,
Oh, how I miss those days, like a cherished dream.
The world was a canvas of magic and awe,
We believed in fairy tales without a flaw,
In castles of clouds, we built our dreams,
With hope as our guide, in endless streams.
Yet shadows could creep, casting doubt and fear,
Innocence fractured, shed a single tear,
But even amidst the darkest night,
Hope’s beacon flickered, restoring the light.
Through scraped knees and tears that fell,
A resilience emerged, like a tolling bell,
With friends by our side, we’d stand tall,
Facing life’s trials, through them all.
Oh, childhood, dear friend, how fleeting you were,
A fleeting symphony, so tender and pure,
The years have passed, as they always do,
Yet, within my heart, I’ll forever hold you.
Your memories, a treasure, I’ll never let go,
In my soul’s sanctuary, where emotions flow,
For in the embrace of innocence, I find,
A piece of my heart, forever entwined.
So, here’s to childhood, to its joys and tears,
To moments shared, to forgotten fears,
A timeless chapter in life’s grand design,
In the tapestry of existence, forever aligned.
