Golden Memories of Summer
In the haze of summer’s golden glow,
Where time stretched slow and dreams would flow,
We danced in fields of endless green,
Where laughter echoed, pure and keen.
Days stretched out like ribbons of light,
Mornings painted in hues so bright,
Underneath the azure sky’s embrace,
We found our secret, tranquil place.
Splashing in the cool, refreshing streams,
Chasing butterflies in fleeting dreams,
With bare feet on warm, sun-baked ground,
In summer’s joy, our hearts were found.
Picnics shared ‘neath shady trees,
A gentle breeze whispered through the leaves,
The scent of flowers filled the air,
Moments cherished beyond compare.
Sun-kissed cheeks and salty sea,
Sandcastles built with childish glee,
Ice cream dripping down our chin,
Innocence wrapped in summer’s spin.
But as the days began to wane,
And sunsets painted skies in flame,
We held those memories close and tight,
Knowing summer’s magic took its flight.
Yet in our hearts, forever stays,
The warmth of those carefree days,
Of summer’s bliss and pure delight,
In memories, forever bright.
