Shattered Earth

Image Taken From Dribble

In the cradle of our careless hands,
We hold a world so fragile, so divine,
Yet, blinded by our selfish demands,
We tear it apart, the essence of its design.

Oh, how we fracture the sacred ground,
With each step, a chasm widens deep,
Exploiting nature, with no remorse found,
As scars of destruction etch memories we keep.

Rivers once pure, now tainted with sorrow,
Their waters poisoned by our reckless ways,
Forests ablaze, their vibrant hues borrowed,
A symphony of life silenced in the haze.

Mountains weep, their ancient peaks erode,
As greed carves scars upon their stoic face,
The harmony of ecosystems corrode,
In our quest for dominance, a woeful chase.

We wage wars against the very Earth we tread,
Polluting the air, choking life’s every breath,
Exploiting resources until they are bled,
Ignoring the consequences, embracing our own death.

With apathy, we close our eyes and turn away,
From the cries of species vanishing into the night,
Their silent screams echoing, day by day,
Witnessing the extinction of life’s vibrant light.

Oh, the fractures we inflict upon this land,
Like shattered glass, our negligence prevails,
Forgetting the intricate web that life had planned,
We sever the threads, and balance swiftly fails.

But deep within our hearts, a flicker remains,
A glimmer of hope, a plea for redemption,
To heal the wounds we’ve caused, release the chains,
And cherish this world with profound perception.

Let’s sow seeds of compassion in barren soil,
Nurture the earth with tenderness and care,
Embrace sustainability, let harmony uncoil,
With love and reverence, a broken world we repair.

For in unity, we find strength anew,
To mend the fractures, bridge the divide,
Embrace the responsibility we must pursue,
Preserving the beauty we cannot hide.

Let our voices rise like the ocean’s roar,
Demanding change, awakening hearts and minds,
Together we can heal what we’ve torn,
Rebuilding a world where compassion binds.

For if we continue down this treacherous path,
The world will crumble, and so shall we,
Let’s rewrite the tale of our aftermath,
And forge a future where love is the key.

For we are but guardians of this precious sphere,
With power to shape its fate, mend what’s been torn,
Let us mend it, before the breaking is severe,
A pledge to heal the world, for we are reborn.
